City Water Restrictions - Stage One
Texas is experiencing the worst drought in more than half a century. The City of Bedford has been notified by the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD), to initiate Stage One of the Drought Contingency plan, effective Monday, August 29. TRWD requires all customers (business and residential) to initiate Stage 1 of its drought contingency plan when combined storage capacity in its water supply reservoirs declines to 75%.

Monday
No watering allowed |
Tuesday & Friday
Non-residential sites (apartments, businesses, parks, common areas)
No watering between 10:00AM - 6:00PM.

Wednesday & Saturday
Residential addresses ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8
No watering between 10:00AM - 6:00PM.

Thursday & Sunday
Residential address ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
No watering between 10:00AM - 6:00PM.

Stage One restrictions also prohibits hosing of paved areas, hosing of buildings/structures for purposes other than fire protection, and prohibiting excessive water runoff/waste. The Drought Contingency plan can be found online and was adopted by City Ordinance 09-2925 Division 2 Section 118-114.
